So my son, who is 16, just got his first job. He is so excited to have a job and to actually be making some money. He's working at Texas Terror which is where Dave & Barry's used to be at Katy Mills Mall. Supposedly it is one of the largest indoor Haunted House in Texas. I'm sad to say that I have never been to a Haunted House. I plan on going this year though to support him. I started to wonder how many haunted houses are there in the Houston area?
The ones I know of are Scream Factory, Monster Clowns, Haunted Woods, The Castle of Doom, The Sanitarium and the Texas Chainsaw Maze located at 1500 Elton ST , Houston TX 77034 and
2955 South Sam Houston Pkwy E, Houston TX 77047. More informaion can be found here. There is also The Carnage which is outside the loop on the west side side of Houston near Silber.
Screamworld is Houston's longest running haunted attraction. For the past several years Screamworld has been voted Houston's scariest haunted attraction by the Houston Chronicle, Houston Press, and Houstonhaunts.com. Screamworld is comprised of 5 attractions. The Haunted Hotel has many animatronics and highly detailed scenes. The Edge of Darkness is a traditional style haunted house with a many scares that seem to come out of nowhere. Monsters in 3D is a visually stunning haunted house, using Chroma-Depth 3D technology. The Maze of Maniacs is a disorienting adventure with lots of surprises. Last but no least is The Tobias Strange Family Cemetery, an outdoor adventure through fog and haze. New for 2008 are 8 new scene areas that are detailed to the quality of a Hollywood movie set. Screamworld is located on Beltway 8 near 45 north of Houston.
My question to you is...Are you a fan of haunted houses? Which one is your favorite?
